Oh What a Month!

I sit here tonight with a full glass of my favorite Moscato because today was the last day of the 2011 school year! It has been a wild December. First of all, I have to introduce our wonderful Elf Fredie.
Fredie is a very active little Elf. Whether he is making snowflakes to hand from the kitchen fan, filling all of the living room frames with photos of himself, or making cereal messes in the kitchen....it is so much fun for Lakin and Gage to look for Fredie even before they get out of bed each morning!
At the beginning of the month, Mark and I traveled to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. It is such beautiful ocean front city.
This was our 2nd time to P.V. and we were even more adventurous than the 1st. (If you can get more adventurous than rappelling down waterfalls, zip-lining over the ocean, and riding a donkey up a mountain with no saddle!) We went back to the same mountain side restaurant that we ate at on a previous trip, called El Panorama, had an unforgettable wild ride in the taxi (actually 2 taxis because we were racing another), and had a fabulous couples massage. We also took a "tourist" trip around the city and learned a lot about the Mexican culture. Along with many other amenities that all-inclusive resorts have to offer....it was an awesome trip and will be a place we hope to take our whole family soon!
After we got back to "reality", Gage was hit with his 3rd round of strep in 2 1/2 months! What is going on with this poor kid! The doctor thinks that maybe he is not fully getting "over it" each time so we are yet again, trying a different medicine.
And while soon most children will be nestled, all snug in their beds this Saturday evening....Gage Archer (22months) will most likely be "escaping" his crib and crawling in bed with Mommy and Daddy :)
