Deer Day

Oh what a great day! Not because the hunter go and shoot poor, defenseless beautiful creatures....but because we always get the day off! I guess too many kids skip school so a few years back they just decided not to have it. But Lakin did have school. Which is a good thing. Now only because I got to go shopping with just Gage and I but because I got to take and pick her up (which she loves!).

So this morning, I got to actually curl her hair, brush her teeth (she usually does it on her own in the morning) cook her a nice breakfast and help her get dressed. While she is eating breakfast, she looks at me and says, "Mom, it is very calm this morning. What a good morning." I looked and her and said, "Why, yes it is." Now usually....I am yelling/bribing her for an hour to get all these things done while I am getting myself and Gage ready to go too. Well, I notice its 8:25 and we are putting on coats and hurriedly walking out the door (school starts at 8:30) while noticing she now has her socks off and has on her heeled summer shoes. I tell her to hurry up and go change. Fast! Quickly! She turns back and says, "It is NOT a calm morning ANYMORE!"
