Fall is here!

Well, it is official. Fall is here. Mark was at a meeting last night so I got to turn on the heat and boy does it feel good! He loves to sleep when its about 55 degrees in our bedroom but our poor kids are freezing all night. Ok...I have to brag about Mark a little bit more.

Mark was nominated and selected to be in a program called the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program. It is a great honor. We had our first meeting a few weeks ago and I am very excited for him. It will mean that he will be traveling a few days a month and a few long extended trips (one of which is overseas) but it will be a great experience for him and he is excited about getting the opportunity. I have to say that during the meeting we had a 1 1/2 hour etiquette luncheon that was very interesting :). I now think twice about taking my back off my chair while eating, passing the salt without the pepper, picking up my napkin after it has fallen to the floor, crumbling my cracker in my soup and exactly where I set my silverware. It is a 2 year program and I will be able to follow him in his travels and experiences through their website http://agleadership.org
