First Day

Well...Gage did it. He went to school and loved every minute! Since March, friends and family would ask him if he was going to school next year and his response..."No, I am NOT goin' to 'kool'." He did not want new shoes. No new clothes. No book bag. Nothing new because well...he wasn't going to 'kool'! With a little help from newly retired Nana Starkey, he got quite a few chances this past week to explore his classroom before the big day. Daddy took him this morning and he didn't hang on Mark's leg more than 5 seconds. Nana picked him up and he even said he would go back tomorrow. Lakin too enjoyed her first day of school. She will have one dual language teacher this year (a bilingual teacher) and is super excited that almost all of her friends are in her class. Time will tell how that one will work out! :)
