Gifts

Who doesn't love a birthday!? I enjoy buying for others more than my own birthday. To come up with unique and personal gifts....it gives me a thrill. Being a total DIYer, I always try to put some thought into gifts. Recently I was at Wal-Mart looking for a last minute gift. While rummaging through the toy isle, I felt completely disappointed in myself that I had waited until the last minute. I mean what had I been doing? It is summer, afterall. So I left Wal-Mart empty handed. Well...not exactly empty handed because that is impossible to do at Wal-Mart but you know what I mean. The next day, I took Lakin back and we headed to the Art & Craft isle. I happened across these awesome Fabric Markers. All of the sudden, it came to me. I had seen birthday shirts in a magazine for the ridiculous price of $38 and thought I could make those. With the purchase of a white shirt, markers and Iron-on paper...we created the perfect gift. A t-shirt that can be personalized by all the birthday attendees and a memory that will last forever....well until his 8th birthday.
