Breckenridge

What a crazy month it has been! After Gage's birthday party, we headed to Breckenridge for a short ski trip. We have been wanting to get Lakin on skiis for a few years and finally got some time to go. We left in the evening and drove most of the 13 hours at night. It was great as she slept most of the way. After a short nap at the cabin, we headed to town for a bite at Mi Casa (where Mark proposed!). After lunch, I had a little surprise for Mark and Lakin. I had set up a dog sled tour along the Continental Divide. It was a blast! Mark and I have been snowmobiling in Breck and this was just as cool. Lakin was amazed that every dog in our 8 "pack" new their left from right!

Back in town, we had to make a stop at Ready, Paint, Fire! Mark made Lakin a memory ornament, Lakin a cookie jar, and Katie a bowl (to add to her collection). It was early to bed as Lakin's Peak 8 ski school started bright and early! The next 2 days were filled with long days of skiing, Swiss Haven, Eric’s, Bubba Gumps (where Lakin fell asleep while eating....6 hours a day of Ski School was hard on her!) and plenty of shopping. It was a fantastic trip that will hopefully happen again next year:)
