Those that know me, know that I like to plan parties. No I mean I REALLY like to plan parties! You might even say that I can sometimes go a little over the top. Mark really thought so when I was making Gage's water bottles for the party. But in my defense...we were on our 4th snow day! I keep telling myself that they are only young once! Well...let me start by saying that Gage's 1st Birthday snuck up on me! I guess because it is so close to the holidays and about January 20th it dawned on me that I needed to plan a party! I kinda started freaking because I usually plan parties for a good 2-3 months in advance (let's just say that Lakin's April birthday is completely planned). But I got on the ball (no pun intended) right away. I designed round invites, ordered the spike ball favors and figured out the entertainment. Of course the Grandma's all asked what they could bring and I said anything as long as the food is round.
I like outside parties. Of course mother nature will probably never cooperate with neither Gage's nor Lakin's parties so I have to be extra creative. I thought about what Gage likes and I thought well....bottles, biting, and Balls!
We will have a Ball at Gage's 1st Birthday Party!
He rolls them around the house, likes to throw them and he plays with them everynight in the bathtub (pun intended). So I designed round invites, purchased a blow up bounce pit, boat swimming pool and 300 primary colors...AND we had a ball party! I know they say kids don't remember their 1st birthday but this will be a hard one to forget. Enjoy the movie.
Wow you did not neglect the pictures of the second kid! What a great video and the party looks like lots of fun. Very clever ideas.
