Well, I am finally getting a chance to sit down at the computer and update a little about our hectic lives. School is almost out for me except now we have been told me have to get EVERYTHING out of our classrooms and take it home for the summer...ahh I don't even want to talk about that subject. Anyway...Lakin's last day was the 19th and our last day is this Thursday. Everyone always asks if we are working on anything new in the house...and the answer is usually yes. After I gutted the bathroom (and didn't know how to put it back together) and that project was completed (4 months later), we have now decided to finally do something with the backyard and put in a flagstone patio. (I think the only reason Mark is all for this project is because this is one less section of the yard we have to mow). So I was not here this last time when the landscaping guy came and by the time I arrived home, it was decided that Mark will be completing the first step/process by himself....so hopefully we have a patio by November (he is already very busy with work, farming, and the hunting business). I will be sure to post before and after pictures of the project.
Well, we all know that I am crazy but I have decided to teach summer school. It will only be for the month of June and Lakin gets to go too, while Nana (my mom) babysits Gage. It will also prepare me a little for my new adventure next year....Kindergarten! I am actually really excited about it and I will have lots of things prepared for me, as I will be taking over for my former Kindergarten teacher, who is retiring. I will miss my 5th grade co-workers but won't miss the grading!
Gage is 3 1/2 months and growing like a weed. A week ago, he started laughing out loud and is very proud of it. We no longer have to work for smiles! Lakin is LovInG the boating weather and can't wait until the water gets warmer so she can go tubing!
Lakin and I took a few quick pics of Gage tonight....Enjoy!
He's getting so big and so stinking cute!! We need to get together soon! and I absolutely LOVE how the porch turned out!!
