Lakin turned 5 and went to Candyland!

So since I have been staying home, I will admit, I went a little overboard with the birthday party this year. But I have to add that Lakin LOVES birthdays and goes crazy anytime someone celebrates one (including Bobby who has to be pushing 80 by now). So the 4 day celebration started Thursday night with a dinner and dessert at Pizza Hut (Lakin's favorite place to eat)
Then it continued with a Hannah Montana party at school on Friday...

Ended with a family party Sunday night.

But the party between....on Saturday....is where the fun really began....

Oh course we made suckers and candy to decorate the front entrance.

We had Candy set around the house to go along with the theme!

AND IT ALL STARTED.....off in the Peppermint Forest decorating Gingerbread girls and boys.

Next to Gumdrop Mountain to literally drop gum into buckets.

Then to the Licorice Forest to make bracelets that protected us from Lord Licorice (made from licorice strings, chereeios, and fruit loops). Sorry, no picture. We were all helping the kids get the candy on the string!

Next we went down to the basement to make snowflake crafts at Snowflake Lake.

Now it was on to the Chocolate Swamp which was a chocolate fountain on the kitchen table.
Oh what a mess!!

Here is a picture of the entrance to Peanut Acres where the kids were going to be given bags to see who could collect the most peanuts but it was raining (very hard) so we had to skip this stop.

Now to the garage for Lollipop Woods for the Pinata....

THE WORLDS MOST INDESTRUCTIBLE PINATA!

And finally to the Candy Castle in the dining room for cake/presents and a VERY happy birthday girl!
